Bird Flu News Blog

Bird flu is still spreading in Africa and will continue to threaten the continent in the years to come, the UN food agency, FAO, has warned and called for rapid and decisive action to quell the disease.

It has reported that over one hundred companies of various sizes have contacted Roche AG (the company that makes tamiflu) in order to try and secure supplies if infact a pandemic were to break out.
“To date, more than 100 corporations have contacted us about purchasing Tamiflu,” Roche spokesperson Terence Hurley told Reuters.
