How can I Help?

There are a number of ways that you can support this Blogathon’s effort to raise money for the work of Oak Tree Foundation. If you are able to assist in any or all of the following ways I would love to have your support. If you have other ideas I would also be more than happy to be contacted by you using our Contact Form.

Here are some ways you can help:

1. Make a donation using the Pay Pal button on the sidebar of this blog. A few days after the end of the blogathon 100% of this money will be donated directly to The Oak Tree. Donations will be accepted as of…..now. Don’t wait til the 20th, do it while its on your mind now. I will post a receipt of the amount donated to the project here on the blog to prove that all donations go to Oak Tree.

Donations can also be made directly to Oak Tree on their Tsunami Appeal site if you’d prefer. I’m not sure if you can specify that this money goes to the Tsunami project here - it may go to one of their other worthwhile projects. If you take this option please let me know the amount and I’ll add it to our running total.

2. Sponsor the site. We are hoping that this site will generate substantial traffic during the blogathon. You can benefit from this traffic and make a difference at the same time by sponsoring us. Contact Me before the day of the blogathon to arrange a sponsorship - I’ll sell virtually any space on this site if it raising money for the cause - text links, banners, buttons - you name it. Make me an offer.

3. Promote the blogathon. If you have a website you can promote this blogathon. I’m looking for people with marketing knowhow who are willing to get the word out in any way you can. Post about it on your blog, email your email list, ring a local paper - anything you can do to get more people to this site with money in their hands helps the cause. Contact Me if you have ideas. It’d be nice to have a button or logo designed to help promote it too - any ideas would be gratefully received.

4. Help me with content. Posting 100+ posts in 24 hours is not an easy thing. Last year I managed 112, but it was partly due to the help I received from my readers who provided me with questions and suggestions on what I could write about. I’ll be writing on a variety of topics on the day - some of it humorous and fun, other serious, other related to topics of my many blogs (that will be co-posted on both blogs). I need your help with this. Contact Me with any ideas or suggestions you have.

5. Support on the day - I need a few people who are willing on the day of the blogathon to do some proof reading and to keep me company. 24 hours straight of blogging makes me see double and more spelling, formatting, grammatical mistakes slip through the net. Let me know if you can be my copy readers for the day. Plus its nice to have a few people email or message me through the day to keep me awake.
