Who is Darren Rowse?
Who is this Darren Rowse joker anyway? I’m very aware that many of the readers from my blogs do not really know who I am. Some of my sites are more personal in nature than others - whilst others hardly mention my name at all. So let me take a moment to introduce myself with a little more detail…
I tend to answer the question of ‘who am I’ or ‘what do I do’ differently depending on who asks it. Sounds a little like a multiple personality thing doesn’t it? Well there may be some truth to that - you see my life consists of many varied components. Let me give you a glimpse at some of them:
- I’m a husband to ‘V’
- I’m a blogger on 17 sites (this one might make it 18). This is how I earn a living.
- I am a leader of a little spiritual community (some might call it a church) called LivingRoom
- I tend to pop up at camps, conferences, wedding, colleges, workshops as a speaker/lecturer on a variety of topics from spirituality through to blogging and the web
- I’m a budding photographer - and have a few weddings under my belt
- I’m an introvert (let me go find a quiet spot)
- I’m a student (or at least was til a few months ago when I completed my Bachelor of Theology - it only took 10 years. My Marketing degree wasn’t enough).
- I live in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and am totally addicted to good coffee (I’ll make a mad dash down to my favorite coffee shop for a takeaway at some point later this morning).
That is some of my facets - at least just the one’s I’m going to talk about for now. As I’ve said before - I’m happy to answer questions on who I am and what I do. Feel free to ask whatever you like if you want to know more. I’ll answer as long as it doesn’t involve too many deep dark secrets.

whoa
did you mean it took you 10 years to complete a bachelor of theology?
that could be another contender for the guinness book of world records!

Hi Darren, keep up the good work! Just noticed - you’ve got a Jessica Simpson blog… one question… why? :p

Yes Kel - it was a pretty long time coming that degree.
Josh - that blog is actually not mine but someone else’s on the Breaking News Blog Network. This domain hosts quite a few blogs that all link to one another in the side bar there
- some are mine most are not.
