No matter what you think of her and her music, she’s doing something right. Britney Spears has is the biggest-selling female artist of this century as the singer’s records have outsold all of her counterparts. Britney has also been more successful than any of her female singers in the last five years.

To become the biggest selling female artist of the past five years was amazing, but to outsell Madonna over the past half a decade is beyond our wildest dreams. It just goes to show what a musical force Britney is,” a spokesperson from Jive Records.
