Athletes aiming to improve Guyana’s medal tally at Commonwealth Games
After participating in 14 of the 17 Games that were staged from 1930 to 2002, Guyanese athletes have won 14 medals - three golds, five silvers and six bronzes. The best performance by a Guyanese team was at the 1978 Edmonton Games when the Guyana 13-man team won three medals (one gold, a silver and a bronze).
This year the team from Guyana are aiming to improve their position on the medal table even further.
