One of the officials from the Sierra Leone team has been admitted to hospital with a case of malaria. According to SMH, ambulance staff were called to the Games village at 6:55pm last night where a 39 year old man was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Sierra Leone finally gets uniforms

The tiny African nation of Sierra Leone has been generously assisted by residents of the host country’s Commonwealth Games city after they ran out of money for uniforms.
In the spirit of the Commonwealth, five companies have come forward to offer track suits, sports bags, polo shirts, hats, lycra wear and singlets.
