Michaela Alica Breeze has won Wales first Gold Medal of the XVIII Commonwealth Games with Canada adding another Silver and Bronze medal thanks to Christine Girard and Miel McGerrigle.
Jessicah Schipper and Lisbeth Lenton have won the Gold and Silver medals in the Women’s 100m Butterfly in the pool but Canada’s Audrey Lacroix has won the Bronze preventing another sweep as Alice Mills finished fourth.

Australia has added a further cycling Gold to their tally as Ryan Bayley beat Scotland’s Ross Edgar in the final. Travis Smith from Canada beat Matthew Crampton for the bronze medal.
Joshua Jefferis has won the Gold medal for Australia with team mate Philippe Rizzo finishing third for the bronze medal behind Canadian Nathan Gafuik who won the silver medal.

Bob Dunlop is heading off to Melbourne to act as the head therapist for Team Canada at the Commonwealth Games.
Dunlop has already been the therapist for Team Canada at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan and the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
Veteran scrum half Morgan Williams will join the Canadian sevens rugby team for next month’s Commonwealth Games.
