Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang have not only won the Gold medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Pairs bit have set a new Games record of 1189.
Bangladesh finished with the silver medal on 1181 and Singapore in the Bronze medal placing on 1177.
Singapore went into the Commonwealth Games as the favourites in the Table Tennis events and the 3-0 win over New Zealand has confirmed that they really are the strong force in the event.
Singapore will be sending its largest contingent to the 18th Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. 63 athletes will compete in seven sports - athletics, swimming, badminton, gymnastics, netball, shooting and table-tennis.
