John Steffensen has won another Gold Medal for Australia in the Men’s 400m track and field event. Grenada’s Alleyne Francique won the silver medal and Jamaica’s Jermaine Gonzales won the bronze.

Ignisious Gaisah from Ghana has won the Gold medal in the Men’s long jump with Gable Garenamotse from Botswana has won the silver and Australian Fabrice Lapierre has won the bronze medal.

Canada’s Mark Boswell has won the Gold medal in the Men’s high jump while England’s Martyn Barnard has won the silver and Kyriacos Ioannou from Cyprus has won the bronze.

Valerie Vili from New Zealand has smashed the Commonwealth Games record to win the Gold medal with a distance of 19.66m. Silver medal winner was Vivien Chukwuemeka from Nigeria and the bronze went to Cleopatra Borel-Brown from Trinidad and Tobago.

Kelly Sotherton has won the Gold medal for England in the women’s heptathlon with team mate Jessica Ennis taking the bronze. Australia’s Kylie Wheeler has won the silver medal.

World Champion Dorcus Inzikuru has won the Gold medal in the Women’s 3000m Steeplechase for Uganda with Melissa Rollison and Donna MacFarlane from Australia winning the silver and bronze medals.

EAD athlete Tanto Campbell has won the Gold Medal for Jamaica in the Men’s Seated Discus. Jacques Martin from Canada won the Silver medal and Ranjith Kumar Jayaseelan from India has won the bronze medal.

South Africa’s Elizna Naude has won the Gold Medal in the Women’s Discus. Seema Antil has won the Silver medal for India and 17 year old Dani Samuels has won the bronze medal for Australia.

Trecia Smith from Jamaica has won the Gold Medal in the Women’s Triple Jump with Otonye Iworima fron Nigeria taking the silver medal and Nadia Williams taking the bronze medal.

Dean Macey from England has won the Men’s Decathlon taking the Gold Medal ahead of Maurice Smith from Jamaica who takes the silver medal and Jason Dudley who takes the Bronze medal for Australia.

Lisa Dobriskey from England has won the Gold medal in the Women’s 1500m. Sarah Jamieson has won the silver medal for Australia and Hayley Tullett from Wales has taken the bronze.

Jamaica’s Maurice Wignall has added another sprinting gold medal to the Caribbean nation’s tally. Scotland’s Chris Baillie has won the silver and England’s Andrew Turner has won the bronze.

Augustine Choge has set a new Commonwealth Games record to win the Gold Medal in the Men’s 5000m event for Kenya. Fellow team mate Benjamin Limo has won the bronze medal while Craig Mottram of Australia has won the silver medal.

Brooke Krueger has won the Gold medal for Australia in the Women’s Hammer Throw. Jennifer Joyce has won the silver for Canada and Lorrraine Shaw has won the Bronze for England.

Sheri-Ann Brooks has won the Women’s 100m for Jamaica with Geraldine Pillay taking the Silver for South Africa and Delphine Atangana took the bronze for Cameroon.

Janus Robberts has won the Gold medal for South Africa in the Men’s Shot Put. Dorian Scott from Jamaica has won the silver medal while Scott Martin has won the bronze medal for Australia.

Australian Sisters Jane and Natalie Saville have won the Gold and Silver medals in the Women’s 20km Walk while fellow team mate Cheryl Webb has taken the bronze. Jane finished the race in a new Games Record.

Sunette Viljoen has won the Gold medal for South Africa in the Women’s Javelin while Laverne Eve from Bahamas taking the silver and Olivia McKoy from Jamaica taking the bronze medal.

The youngest athlete in the field of the Men’s Marathon, Samson Ramadhani Nyonyi has won the Gold medal for Tanzania. Kenyan Fred Mogaka Tumbo has won the silver medal while England’s Daniel Robinson finished third for the bronze medal.

In an incredibly exciting finish which came down to a sprint finish, Australian Kerryn McCann has won the Gold medal over a vigilant effort from Hellen Cherono Koskei of Kenya. Elizabeth Yelling from England finished third winning the bronze.
