Katie Mactier has beaten fellow team mate Katherin Bates in the Women’s Individual Pursuit at the cycling velodrome. Emma Jones from England beat Alison Shanks from New Zealand to take the bronze medal.

World Champion Victoria Pendleton has won the Gold medal for England in the women’s sprint over the Olympic Champion Anna Meares. Kerrie Meares beat New Zealand’s Elisabeth Williams to claim the bronze for Australia as well.

Australia has added a further cycling Gold to their tally as Ryan Bayley beat Scotland’s Ross Edgar in the final. Travis Smith from Canada beat Matthew Crampton for the bronze medal.

England have won the Gold medal in the 4000m Team Pursuit over Australia who take the Silver. New Zealand won the Bronze medal at the 3000m mark after catching the Malaysian cyclists.

Australia have cleaned up on the Cycling Track tonight with the latest medal coming in the form of Gold in the Men’s Points Race won by Sean Finning. Silver was claimed by Hayden Roulston of New Zealand while the Bronze went to Geraint Thomas of Wales.
