Lynsey Armitage and Karen Murphy of Australia have beaten Joyce Lindores and Kay Moran of Scotland to take the Gold medal in the Women’s Pairs Lawn Bowls. Sisters Jan and Marina Khan of New Zealand have won the Bronze medal.

Mark Casey, Bill Cornehls and Wayne Turley have won the Gold Medal for Australia in the Men’s Triples Lawn Bowls Event. Neil Booth, Mark McPeak and Jeremy Henry have won the silver medal for Northern Island and Neil Anthony Burkett, Gidion Vermeulen and Eric Johannes have won the Bronze Medal for South Africa.

Fijian Bowling officials are confident that they have a great chance in winning the tiny Pacific nations first medal at the Commonwealth Game in Melbourne in March with a high calibre of players in their training squad.
