Scotland’s Paul Foster and Alex Marshall have won the Gold Medal in the Men’s Lawn Bowls pairs event after beating England’s Mark Bantock and Ian Bond. Australia’s Barrie Lester and Nathan Rice have won the bronze medal.
Lynsey Armitage and Karen Murphy of Australia have beaten Joyce Lindores and Kay Moran of Scotland to take the Gold medal in the Women’s Pairs Lawn Bowls. Sisters Jan and Marina Khan of New Zealand have won the Bronze medal.
Mark Casey, Bill Cornehls and Wayne Turley have won the Gold Medal for Australia in the Men’s Triples Lawn Bowls Event. Neil Booth, Mark McPeak and Jeremy Henry have won the silver medal for Northern Island and Neil Anthony Burkett, Gidion Vermeulen and Eric Johannes have won the Bronze Medal for South Africa.
Malaysia have beaten Australia in the Gold medal match of the Women’s Triples Lawn Bowls event. In the Bronze medal match, England beat Jersey.
Brunei Darussalam will only take part in the lawn bowl event at the 18th Commonwealth Games and will be represented by 11 players.
