Australia wins Men’s 50m Pistol

David Moore and Daniel Repacholi have won the Men’s 50m Pistol Pairs event with a total of 1086 points. India shooters Samaresh Jung and Vivek Singh claimed the silver medal with 1082 points and Nick Baxter and Mick Gault from England won the bronze medal with 1078.

India Pair win Men’s 10m Air Rifle

Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang have not only won the Gold medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Pairs bit have set a new Games record of 1189.
Bangladesh finished with the silver medal on 1181 and Singapore in the Bronze medal placing on 1177.

Hasli may quit national team after Commonwealth Games

Shooter Hasli Izwan Amir Hassan plans to quit after the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne next month to look for a job.
The 29-year-old pistol shooter, who has donned national colours since 1997, has never held a job since he left school 10 years ago.

Police School Over Commonwealth Games for Malaysian Shooter

Qualifying Malaysian rifle shooter, 24 year old Mohd Hameleay, may not make it to the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne after signing up for the Assistant Superintendent of Police cadet course at the Police Academy in Kuala Lumpur.

Ace Shooters Miss Commonwealth Placing

Indian Ace Shooters Anjali Bhagwat and Suma Shirur who won the team air rifle gold at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester have missed out on a spot in the team for Melbourne. Instead, they have been replaced by young guns Avneet Kaur Sidhu and Tejaswini Sawant.
