Two withdraw

BOXER Robert Ellery and powerlifter Glen Puxley have both withdrawn from the Team Wales squad in Melbourne.
Cardiff-born Ellery, 19, was due to compete in the 81kg lightweight category, but has been unable to prove his fitness ahead of the scheduled bouts at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Powerlifter Confirmed In Commonwealth Games Team

Powerlifter George Taamaru will line up in his second Commonwealth Games after today being confirmed in the team for Melbourne.
The New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) in conjunction with Paralympics New Zealand today confirmed George in the team where he will compete in the Elite Athlete with Disability category.
