Games boost to lifesaving patrols
If you’re planning on going swimming in Melbourne during the Commonwealth Games then you will be happy to know that Lifesaving Patrols at nine popular Victorian beaches have been extended due to the anticipation of tourists.
Fifty extra lifesavers will monitor metropolitan beaches at St Kilda, Elwood and Port Melbourne, and coastal beaches at Anglesea, Lorne, Torquay, Woolamai, Portsea and Ocean Grove during the week.
