OLYMPIAN SET TO INSPIRE MANX ACES
Former Olympic silver medallist and leading popular sports personality Roger Black is to be the guest speaker at a farewell dinner for the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games team on Friday, February 17 at the Hilton Hotel.
Roger Black represented Britain at the highest level in the world of athletics for 14 years, both as an individual 400 metres runner and as a member of the 4×400 metres relay team. He won 15 major championship medals including gold at European, Commonwealth and World Championship level. He was the British men’s team captain and was awarded the MBE in 1992 for his achievements in athletics. Roger is now a television presenter and an accomplished motivational speaker and conference host.
