Private Schools become Official Commonwealth Games venues
To ensure athletes have suitable training facilities, organisers of this years Commonwealth Games have arranged for seven prestigious schools to be set aside for training and acclimatisation for the 4500 competing in Melbourne.
Xavier, Scotch, Melbourne Grammar, Ivanhoe Grammar, Trinity Grammar, Marcellin College and Carey Grammar are all to be paid by Games organisers for the use of their grounds prior to and during the Games in March.
