Silver Ferns prepare for Commonwealth Games
The New Zealand Netball team and competition favourites, the Silver Ferns, kicked off their preparations for the Commonwealth Games this week with a three day camp on Auckland’s North Shore.
Ruth Aiken, the team coach, had the Ferns going through their paces as the 12 strong team took part in fitness testing, training sessions and team building exercises.
While Manchester was a close between Australia and New Zealand, the Melbourne competition is likely to be a little one sided if New Zealand’s record breaking win of 61-36 over Australia in October is anything to go by.
