Tietjens ready for Commonwealth games
While the New Zealand Sevens team hasn’t been faring as well as it has on the international IRB Rugby Sevens tournament, Coach Gordon Tietjens is going to have a last chance look at the domestic talent before naming the side to compete at the Commonwealth Games.
Next month in Queenstown, the New Zealand National Sevens championships will be held where players will have to convince Tietjens as to why they deserve a place on the team.
All NPC Premier division clubs will send teams except Canterbury who will send a “Cantabrian” selection squad for the two day tournament starting on January 14th.
