Hearing impaired ‘at risk of depression’
‘People suffering hearing loss are more likely than not to also have depression, or at least signs of the black dog, research shows.
A survey released by Australian Hearing during Hearing Awareness Week has found that six in ten of those with hearing problems also have symptoms associated with depression.
And almost 20 per cent had at least three key symptoms of the mood condition.’
