Young diabetics at risk of depression: research
‘New research has concluded that young people with type 1 diabetes could be at risk of depression.
The research for Diabetes Australia has found about a quarter of young adults with the disease say they are depressed.
Associate Professor Fergus Cameron from Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital says the treatments for type 1 diabetes can cause a lot of emotional stress for young people.’
