Santa IM Worm Installs Rootkit Payload

‘A new Christmas-themed worm attack is underway, delivering an offensive rootkit payload over the AOL, MSN, Windows Messenger, ICQ and Yahoo instant messaging networks.

AIM Worm Linked To Middle East Group

‘A recently discovered worm that spreads through America Online Inc.’s instant messaging network has been linked to additional malware sent by an unidentified group in the Middle East, a security firm said Thursday.
