Cicero puts VoIP client on GSM handsets

‘Dublin-based Cicero Networks has announced that it has launched what it claims is the first converged VoIP/GSM client for mobile phones.

The CiceroPhone smart phone client, which is aimed at mobile operators and manufacturers, enables seamless roaming between Wi-Fi and GSM and Wi-Fi and CDMA networks.

The company said on Thursday that Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC has gone to market with the client on its newly released Qtek 8310/8300 Windows Mobile dual-mode smartphones.’
