Zipit and RadioShack Give Teens Access to Instant Messaging
‘RadioShack Corporation and Zipit today announced the Zipit Wireless Messenger is now available at select RadioShack stores. RadioShack is the first major U.S. retailer to stock the Zipit Wireless Messenger on store shelves — just in time for the 2005 Holiday Season. RadioShack is offering the Zipit in a new, exclusive two-tone blue and silver color pattern.
The Zipit Wireless Messenger, which was previously only available through online sales channels in the U.S., is a low-cost portable Instant Messaging device that connects to wireless home networks or free “hotspots” and enables teens and pre-teens to chat away with no service fee.’
