Newlyweds Third Season Premiere

The third and supposed final season of MTV’s Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica will premiere Wednesday, January 26 at 10PM ET/PT.

Comprised of ten episodes that the network gushes will “take fans even deeper” into the lives of Jessica Simpson and husband Nick Lachey, the series will air paired with the second season of The Ashlee Simpson Show, which will follow at 10:30PM ET/PT.

Highlights of Newlyweds’ third season will include Nick celebrating his 31st birthday in Las Vegas, Nick and Jessica housebreaking their new dog daisy, a Halloween celebration, and the couple celebrating their second anniversary in Napa Valley. Newlyweds will also provide viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at Jessica as participates in stunt car training for her role as Daisy Duke in the upcoming Dukes Of Hazzard.

Jessica Simspon Imitation on Missy Elliott’s Show

In the latest American Idol clone, young singer-songwriters compete for a record contract with Missy Elliott’s label. In the debut, Elliott told the wannabes that the winner will get $100,000 and her full attention in the recording studio. The cast includes an imitation Eminem, an imitation Jessica Simpson, an imitation Beyonce, an imitation Justin Timberlake and an imitation Avril Lavigne.

Jessica’s daddy issues

A source close to Jessica Simpson told Star magazine that Jessica had decided to relieve her father, Joe, of some of his management duties because she believes he’s too involved in her personal life and it’s wreaking havoc on her relationship with husband Nick Lachey. “[Nick feels] that he often plays second fiddle to Joe,” the source said. “So Jessica is looking for someone to take over her film career, while [her dad] goes on supervising her singing career.” Source

Jessica Simpson proved recently that even celebrities sometimes get star-struck. “The Dukes of Hazzard” star reportedly lost her cool when she spotted “One Life to Live” star Ilene Kristen at a restaurant in Los Angeles. An eyewitness told Us Weekly that Simpson approached Kristen’s table and asked, “Excuse me, do you play Roxy on ‘One Life To Live’?” When a clearly amused Kristen nodded ‘yes,’ Simpson shrieked, “You’re my absolute favorite! Jessica wears Australian Clothing

Jessica Simpson has been seen wearing a a silk slip dress by Sydney-based label Little Joe for her recent birthday party.

Working from her Tamarama home, Gail Elliott, a former English model turned fashion designer, says she’s been inundated with requests for the buttercup-coloured silk dress, fielding daily requests from desperate teens keen to mirror the pop singer’s style at their upcoming high-school formals.

And while Elliott counts Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Elle Macpherson among her friends, the fledgling designer has been flattered by the celebrity endorsement Simpson has given her new business.

“I don’t know how Jessica got the dress, because we didn’t send it to her,” Elliott said.

“But that means someone paid retail for it for her, which I think is an even bigger compliment.

“It’s also quite nice to think these girls have chosen Little Joe for such a special night in their lives, because the school prom is a huge deal in the US.”

Inspired to create the chic line of lingerie separates and cocktail frocks to fill gaps in her own wardrobe, Elliott has been happily surprised by the fast track to fame her designs have been on since the label she named after her Australian husband, screenwriter Joe Coffey, was launched just 16 months ago.

“With the increased visibility and market share of our HD concerts, and strong initial sales from our Jessica Simpson concert, distributed by Sony/BMG, we have announced the release of the JS Realty Tour DVD in Canada, Australia, and Brazil. We have also elected to expand into the CD audio music market. This allows us to increase our revenues from our live concerts without incurring any additional production costs,” stated Lee Kasper, President and CEO of NuTech Digital.
