Now Nick is going solo in a quest to jumpstart his musical career with a new MTV show of his own and a new album slated to be released later this year.
“The Nick Lachey Project” will follow Nick through the entire process from Nick building a studio inside his home, hiring producers and writers, signing with Jive Records, part of the Zomba Label Group, recording, and finally working with the label to get his CD in stores.

“I thought I was for a split second because the entire media was saying that I was, and I thought that everybody knew before I even knew, so you’ll see a scare there,” Jessica told Access.
In the March 3 episode of “Newlyweds,” Jessica takes a home pregnancy test to “make sure the rumors aren’t true.”
So just how does such a rumor get started? It turns out an item ran in a NY paper in February, claiming that Simpson was indeed preggers.
“Well, there was a rumor that I was pregnant — actually it was a month ago,” revealed Jessica. “I began to believe the rumor because I was very, very sick and could not stop, you know [vomiting].”
In fact, at a press conference back in January for her new line of edible body products called Dessert, Jessica warned the media she wasn’t feeling well.
“I kind of have a flu bug but I’m not pregnant, I’m not pregnant. That’s not what it is… but I just have an upset stomach,” said Jessica.
While promoting the new enhanced version of her CD “In This Skin” on “TRL,” Jessica offered her opinion on how the rumor got started.
“Well, I think I said I wanted a dog and people thought I wanted a baby,” she said.

We just can’t get enough of Jessica Simpson. She’s in the paper almost daily about anything from the wandering eyes of her hubby/singer Nick Lachey to being sued by a beauty product company to her former reality show.

My dad was a minister, so we would go over to Mexico and to third-world countries and work in orphanages, and it always impacted me how much these kids smiled when they had absolutely nothing. What I love so much about Operation Smile is that you’re actually giving somebody a chance to smile.”

“Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe. Brigitte Bardot is the all-time sexiest woman - curvy, voluptuous, just breathtaking.”

“Old Hollywood glamour, curve hugging, timeless, elegant looks.”
Outfit she most regrets:
“Dressing in a way where you’re not yourself. Life, I don’t have a specific outfit in mind because I love all the outfits that I’ve worn. But trying to be a pop start, trying to have an image when I’m not that kind of person. I don’t want the leather and the chains and the midriff and the head mike, that’s just not me.”
Anything you’ve worn that you’ve said, ‘I wish I hadn’t worn that’?
“No, I mean, back in the day. On my last album, yeah. I wish I wouldn’t have worn anything. Because it was all made. It wasn’t a designer. I love designers.”
Anything you would NEVER wear?
“Anything too exposing. You can expose in different kinds of ways. Too much skin is too much for the eye; it’s better to leave something to the imagination. If you wear a curvy Narciso Rodriquez dress people know what’s underneath, just as long as it fits your curves, that’s what’s hot.”
What styles look best on your body?
“Everything has to be fitted at the waist, otherwise it looks maternity.”

Yep, the rumours keep coming folks, who knows what to believe but I’d like to give both Jessica and Nick the benefit of the doubt. I hope that they come out and quash these rumours before they gather pace.
Right after e-mails are released from Paris Hilton’s stolen Sidekick that seem to prove that Jessica Simpson is a cocaine user (which would explain her dramatic recent weight loss), a tipster writes to Page Six Six Six claiming that her husband, Nick Lachey, has been abusing steroids and alcohol. Hmmm… if Nick’s been chowing down on the roids, shouldn’t he be a bit more beefy?

Westlife - currently on a sellout tour - will record a new album later this year and duet with the blonde.
