To the relief of men everywhere, short shorts are back. Probably thanks to the “Dukes of Hazzard” movie starring Jessica Simpson coming out this summer, “Daisy Dukes” are once again in style. This time, they aren’t the butt cheek-baring, cut-off blue jean kind she wore, but they come in pretty much every color. Short shorts look best when worn with a tunic-style top or a three-quarter-length shirt because too much skin is … well … too much.

On Monday, May 23, the network will unveil the celebrity couple’s third variety-show two-hour special, “Nick & Jessica’s Tour of Duty.” The focus of the show will be on entertaining U.S. troops stationed overseas.
“Tour of Duty” will feature appearances by Willie Nelson, country stars Big & Rich, Jimmy Kimmel, Brian McKnight and Lachey’s brother Drew. ABC also says Simpson and Lachey will deliver “emotional surprises from home” to some of the troops. Source

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson gave out awards to the finalists in the U.S. Air Forces in Europe singing contest - a first-ever talent show that brought together the best Air Force singers from around the region.
While the winner, Maj. Larry Speer, doesn’t get a record contract like “American Idol” TV show winners Ruben Studdard, Kelly Clarkson or Fantasia Barrino, he can boast that he is the best in the command.

Jessica’s finally spoken out on “those rumours” to US Weekly - she says that nothing happened with Johnny Knoxville. Johnny has come out previously, saying the rumour was complete rubbish.
“I adore Johnny - we worked together and that’s all that happened. I am tired of the lies. It gets old. Nick and I are strong. It makes some people feel better to think we aren’t. But we are. We are so in love. That is the truth. I can’t worry too much about anything else.”
Tomorrow morning Mitch Levy and Steve Sandmeyer, of Sports Radio 950 KJR-AM’s “Mitch in the Morning” show (Seattle), kick off the ninth-annual Bigger Dance tournament. The Bigger Dance highlights 64 gorgeous women and pits them against each other in the same fashion as the NCAA tournament.
With 64 of the world’s most beautiful women competing against each other in the four separate regions, the battles rage throughout the month of April and into May while slimy old men, immature college students and all-knowing women cast their votes for who is the “Queen of the Hardwood,” with a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to any sporting event in the world.
Defending champion Jessica Simpson has one of the best repeat chances in recent memory. A second-round clash with Jennifer Love Hewitt looms while the bottom of the bracket is equipped with heavy hitters like Anna Kournikova and Eva Longoria.

On April 20, Simpson and her husband, Nick Lachey, will head to Iraq for a six day USO tour with Black Eyed Peas, Ciara, Big & Rich and Willie Nelson (A two hour special of the tour will be airing during May sweeps.) At each stop Simpson and Lachey will perform two songs together and will sing two solo numbers. Jessica will also join Nelson - her Dukes costar with whom she recorded a duet for the Dukes soundtrack - onstage for “These Boots Are Made For Walkin”. (The Hazzard pay won’t end there: In June, Wal-Mart will sell posters of Simpson doing her best Daisy Duke pose by a pick-up truck.)
