In an interview with “Access Hollywood,” Joe Simpson, father and manager of pop stars Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, says that they have “hired the most powerful lawyer in the city” to take on publications that he claims run false reports about his family. The interview airs on “Access Hollywood,” Tuesday, August 2, 2005.
“What we’ve done is hire the most powerful lawyer in the city to start taking these people on. You can only say, ‘No that’s not true’…so often and then everybody thinks you are lying. I had Botox, who believes that? I mean, they just print it because Jessica sells magazines and we don’t have any responsibility in the media anymore. You can say whatever the hell you want to and it’s not right.”
When asked what he thought would make the reports stop, Simpson replied, “I don’t know. A law suit big enough to get their attention.”

Jessica co-hosted the show on today! Here’s a couple of quotes from her on the show “To play Daisy Duke, I mean, that’s like an iconish … is that a word … iconic figure. I had to do Catherine Bach proud. I was running sprints and doing all kinds of stuff. All I was thinking was bikini, bikini, bikini. It was strange to actually be in the shorts. By the way, I tried on over a hundred pairs!”

Jessica Simpson has told Britney Spears to quit her reality TV show before it takes over and ruins her life: “Only do one season and make sure your contract is good. We were locked in. We thought it was going to be a six-episode documentary about being a newlywed. It ended up being two years.”
A skin specialist questions Jessica Simpson’s change of tune about what really cleared up her skin:
According to Simpson herself (in Jane magazine and E! TV), the answer was the strong prescription medicine Accutane. Oddly, once Jessica was hired to be a spokesmodel for Proactiv, a heavily hyped acne line, she seems to have changed her tune. According to the corporate web site, Simpson now sings Proactiv’s praises:
“I just had so much build up and so many clogged pores that once I started using Proactiv Solution, my face was just shining…I’m passionate about Proactiv because it worked for me and it gave me so much confidence.”
It seems that Simpson is no longer giving credit to the treatment that really helped her skin.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous - the latest rumour going around is that the divorce papers are already signed. Next the rumours will focus on who Jessica and Nick have secretly married, had babies with and … yeah, you get the picture. It’s out of hand.
Here’s some quotes from Jessica:
“I’m not really into the deep drama roles. I wanted to see myself up on the big screen. When I found out they were making the movie, it was a dream role for me. I wanted people to know that I’m a strong woman. I went after this role as hard as I could. I went straight to the gym. I had to look good in a bikini. When I found out I got the role, I hired a trainer, a dear friend from high school, and trained six days a week for two hours a day. I’m definitely shy. I don’t even walk around in my bathing suit at the beach. So it was definitely acting for me to drop the coat and be in a bikini and try to get my cousins out of trouble by using my body. That was definitely acting. I had to feel comfortable. I had to be proud, had to walk confident. But they didn’t get too short. My butt cheeks were never hanging out. Dolly Parton is my favorite. I love Dolly so much as a woman, as an entertainer, as a personality. I’m such a blonde. It just doesn’t make sense for me to have dark hair. I don’t think people would take me seriously. They take me seriously as a blonde.”
