Nick Lachey is reportedly shopping his version of the impending divorce with wife Jessica Simpson for a cool three hundred grand according to a report in the NY Post. Spies say Lachey’s pal A.J. DiScala has approached OK! magazine on behalf of Nick. Another venture that Lachey and DiScala are said to be in on together is as investors in the skeevy new club Pacha where scantily clad women writhe in a shower.
This has lead some to speculate that DiScala is co-managing Lachey along with his brother Drew. Our spy added: “[Lachey] wants to keep it quiet. But it’s genius — it’s like Donald Trump owning a modeling agency!”

According to TV show Extra, Nick and Jessica met up at Jessica’s parents’ house in Encino, California for a last dinner together. At the meeting, the couple both agreed Jessica would file divorce papers the following day. Sources close to the separated couple claim both Lachey and Simpson are keen to remain friends as they divide up their assets. Extra said Jessica is prepared to give Nick half of their marital assets, but is refusing to pay spousal support.

People magazine says Jessica Simpson is going to Hawaii with her family and her sister Ashlee for Christmas. She’s been staying at her parents’ place in LA while Nick’s been staying at their house in Calabasas.
Along with millions of other Americans, celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, Donald Faison, Nicky Hilton and others are flocking to eBay to purchase new and hard-to-find gifts for friends and family on their holiday shopping lists.
The latest tech gadgets — the Xbox 360, iPod nano and Bose iPod speaker system — are among the most sought-after purchases of gift-giving celebrities, while vintage items such as a Kate Spade Dog Carrier and Bert Stern photography also made the list of celebrity gifted items.
Jessica Simpson and sister Ashlee, purchasing gifts for their assistants, both bought Apple iPods and Bose SoundDock iPod Portable Speaker Systems. Jessica purchased a white 30GB Apple iPod (which holds 7,500 songs and has video and photo capabilities), while Ashlee bought a sleek new black 4GB iPod nano.

Several weeks ago magazines were saying that Jennifer Anniston was “Jessica’s phone therapist” - someone she could pour her heart out to.
But Jennifer has denied the goss in an interview with Extra while promoting her new movie ‘Rumor Has It’:
Jennifer also scoffed at a report claiming that she called Jessica Simpson with comfort and advice after her bust-up with Nick Lachey. “I’ve never spoken to, not even tried to call, not that I wouldn’t, Jessica Simpson,” Aniston said. “I don’t even know the sweet girl, but my thoughts are with her.”
Ok, I have finally made something I’m happy with! If anyone would like to add news about Jess too (cos sometimes I’m a bit slow as I live in New Zealand and I’m usually sleeping when all the news happens!) please let me know 
I think the next year is going to be really interesting - to see along which path Jessica heads. I became a fan of hers because of her single “I wanna love you forever” and then secondly, when I started watching Newlyweds. I respected her because she was a Christian and also because she didn’t want to become like Christina or Britney and just show off her body and have loose morals. I thought her romance with Nick was so sweet and they seemed such a great couple.
This last year I’ve tried so hard not to believe all the rumours, because Nick and Jessica would always come out and say that everything in their marriage was fine. I wanted it to be true, I wanted them to be happily still in love.
Now I’m wondering: when did things go bad, how long were they lying to us for? At what point did they lose their way? I was shocked when I saw the “Boots” music video - that was no different to a Britney or Christina video, and I don’t buy the argument that she was just playing a character, a role. The original Daisy Duke never washed a car in a string bikini, thank you.
Somewhere, something changed. It seems to me that Jess is now having cosmetic surgery, clubbing and partying with all sorts of people, living an insane luxurious lifestyle, forgetting about her christian faith, dressing with less and less clothing and so on. I’m sad and disappointed - that it wasn’t possible for her to rise above the usual Hollywood ware. Next thing you know, she could be dating anyone and everyone and becoming a new Paris Hilton.
Over the next year, I’ll be watching with interest to see if Jessica re-evaluates her life or continues on in Hollywood style where marriage is until you have differences you can’t reconcile. What’s more sad is that it’s likely to go to court - when christians are meant to sort out their sagas without involving the courtroom.

Jessica Simpson has filed for divorce from husband, Nick Lachey, citing irreconcilable differences. She filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court under her married name, Jessica Simpson Lachey, and asked that her name be changed back to Simpson.
This is so sad, I can’t believe she has moved so fast after announcing their separation to make it final.
Harvey Levin, the managing editor of TMZ.com has learned that Simpson may be rethinking the high-stakes separation.
“I don’t think she has the stomach for a divorce,” Levin said. “She made $850,000 at a concert this week, and you’d think since Nick would be entitled to half, she would have moved to protect her finances. There is no anger. They are e-mailing each other. It’s really hard for them right now, especially Nick.”
According to In Touch magazine Jessica was recently spotted browsing at Barney’s in Beverley Hills where she broke down in floods of tears.
