Jessica, Ashlee and her parents are currently holidaying at Diamondhead Hawaii together, having time out from the spotlight. Poor Ashlee recently admitted she’s suffering from anorexia and of course Jess has a lot on her plate, recovering from her recent separation from Nick. US Weekly has even said Jess has developed ulcers and is in a lot of pain. I hope Jess and Ashlee get the rest that they need and are able to return to full health quickly.
Nick Lachey is reportedly shopping his version of the impending divorce with wife Jessica Simpson for a cool three hundred grand according to a report in the NY Post. Spies say Lachey’s pal A.J. DiScala has approached OK! magazine on behalf of Nick. Another venture that Lachey and DiScala are said to be in on together is as investors in the skeevy new club Pacha where scantily clad women writhe in a shower.
This has lead some to speculate that DiScala is co-managing Lachey along with his brother Drew. Our spy added: “[Lachey] wants to keep it quiet. But it’s genius — it’s like Donald Trump owning a modeling agency!”

People magazine says Jessica Simpson is going to Hawaii with her family and her sister Ashlee for Christmas. She’s been staying at her parents’ place in LA while Nick’s been staying at their house in Calabasas.
Several weeks ago magazines were saying that Jennifer Anniston was “Jessica’s phone therapist” - someone she could pour her heart out to.
But Jennifer has denied the goss in an interview with Extra while promoting her new movie ‘Rumor Has It’:
Jennifer also scoffed at a report claiming that she called Jessica Simpson with comfort and advice after her bust-up with Nick Lachey. “I’ve never spoken to, not even tried to call, not that I wouldn’t, Jessica Simpson,” Aniston said. “I don’t even know the sweet girl, but my thoughts are with her.”
Gee, slow it down people, please? Give Jessica and Nick some time to heal before dishing yet more dirt on them…
Yet another story in the news has said that Jessica Simpson had a fling with Adam Levine, from Maroon 5 back in early September 2004.
According to a well-placed Lowdown spy, Simpson and Levine had their forbidden tryst in early September 2004, after a long night of partying with Jessica’s personal assistant, CaCee Cobb, and M5 drummer Ryan Dusick at L.A.’s Sunset Marquis Hotel. “Jessica and Adam were very close in the booth, and she kept putting her hand on his leg,” says the eyewitness. “It was obvious … that something weird was going on. A few days later, Adam was talking about how he and Jessica had ‘gotten it on’ in the hotel that night. Apparently it was just kind of a fling.” Yesterday, PR reps for Simpson and Levine vehemently denied any hanky-panky and insisted that the singers are just friends.
Jessica Simpson is certainly not a desperate housewife, but that doesn‘t mean she can‘t play one on TV. I hear that the newly-single blonde bombshell may pop up on Wisteria Lane for a guest shot on “Desperate Housewives.” “There‘s talk of her being on an episode or two,” a source tells me.
That may explain why Simpson recently had lunch with Eva Longoria. The two were spotted last week at L.A.‘s Cha Cha Cha restaurant.
“Thanks for making me laugh,” Simpson said to Longoria, a fellow diner reports. “You know how much I need that right now.” A “Housewives” rep insists there are no plans for a Simpson appearance.

More on the insane gossip front - The Ottawa Sun is now reporting that Jessica has been on two dates with Trace Ayala - who is Justin Timberlake’s best friend and business partner. They even report that Trace has broken up with his fiancee, Elisha Cuthbert (who starred in the TV series 24 before moving to films such as The Quiet, House of Wax, The Girl Next Door and Love Actually) .
Personally, I’m reluctant to believe any of these rumours until I see Jessica actually kissing another man in public (and not when she’s being filmed for a movie!) or announcing it herself. (On that note, I’m still reluctant to believe the Angelina and Brad stories until I hear them announce it…)
No sooner than Nick and Jessica have announced their separation than the rumours start up again - this time someone started the rumour that Nick and CaCee Cobb (Jessica’s assistant) were having an affair. *Sigh*.
CaCee was rumoured of being romantically involved with the star’s future ex-husband Lachey. CaCee, who seems to be Jessica’s closest pal during the “Newlyweds,” apparently did not agree with the actress’ constantly infidelities and felt sorry for Nick. “She feels badly for Nick and is very vocal about missing him. She saw Jessica abuse him all along.”

Jessica Simpson has reportedly hired a high-powered divorce attorney, Robert Kaufman (who represented Jennifer Aniston in her divorce from Brad Pitt), to handle her split with husband Nick Lachey - just three weeks after they announced their separation.
A friend of Jessica said, “Jennifer handled her divorce with Brad like a lady, in a non-sleazy way, and Jessica wants to do the same.”
