Apparently Joe Simpson has made a deal with OK! magazine for Jessica Simpson - for $200,000! She is on their inaugural US issue but the deal also is apparently for a package deal - she’ll appear on six more covers and host the magazine’s September 20th launch party. The party’s going to be held on the roof of Cornelia Day Spa on Fifth Avenue.
“The deal also precludes Jessica from giving any other magazines major features until all the covers are done, which will be in like two years. So basically, Joe sold his daughter out for $200,000,” the insider said. Another source said Jessica may be getting a $100,000 bonus for the party appearance.

Dukes star Jessica denies a boob job
THE long blonde hair looks familar… but that’s just about the only thing.
In six years Dukes of Hazzard star Jessica Simpson has transformed herself from a dowdy church minster’s daughter from Texas into an international sex symbol.
But just how Hazz she managed it?
Jessica made her name at 18 as a virgin bride in MTV’s reality TV show The Newlyweds with her husband, boyband singer Nick Lachey. In her new role as Daisy Duke in a film based on the 70s TV series she’s, well…a lot more grown up.
Jessica, now 25, says her sexy new look isn’t down to the surgeon’s knife but hard work. She says: “I trained six days a week, two hours a day. I feel confident about my body, although I’m shy.”

In an interview with “Access Hollywood,” Joe Simpson, father and manager of pop stars Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, says that they have “hired the most powerful lawyer in the city” to take on publications that he claims run false reports about his family. The interview airs on “Access Hollywood,” Tuesday, August 2, 2005.
“What we’ve done is hire the most powerful lawyer in the city to start taking these people on. You can only say, ‘No that’s not true’…so often and then everybody thinks you are lying. I had Botox, who believes that? I mean, they just print it because Jessica sells magazines and we don’t have any responsibility in the media anymore. You can say whatever the hell you want to and it’s not right.”
When asked what he thought would make the reports stop, Simpson replied, “I don’t know. A law suit big enough to get their attention.”

There have been rumors for months about trouble on the homefront for the MTV reality show couple and an anonymous email sent to media outlets claims “Dukes of Hazzard” co-stars Simpson and Johnny Knoxville were getting ready to go public with an alleged affair, the New York Post said Friday.
“Jessica Simpson and Johnny Knoxville are going public. Johnny is leaving his wife, Simpson is filing for divorce-they are shopping the exclusive story to the weeklies under Joe Simpson’s direction. Her PR instinct is that the news will break in next week’s weeklies to fuel some fire before the July 28th Dukes of Hazzard premiere.”
Simpson spokesman said “TThis is all absolutely false. The entire story is a complete lie.”

The couple seemed anything but loving at Simpson’s 25th-birthday bash in LA over the weekend, the New York Daily News reports.
According to the tab’s spy, the couple arrived separately, didn’t speak to one another and, during the pivotal blowing-out-of-candles denouement, Lachey preferred hanging out with his pals to being with the birthday girl.
The spy says the hooch supply was inadequate and sober attendees left to quench their thirst.

A source tells Life & Style Weekly that Jessica Simpson isn’t happy sister Ashlee Simpson has dyed her hair back to blonde. “Jess has not only asked her sister to change her hair color back to brunette, but she’s begged their father — who manages them — to ask her to do so,” the source said. Source
