Episode 303 - Newlyweds Season 3 Recap and Transcript
The show starts with Jessica on stage at a concert and she’s interrupted by Nick on a large screen talking to her -
“Jessica I’m so sorry I couldn’t be with you there in Dallas, your home town, on your birthday - I sent something over to the venue which I’m hoping is going to make things a little better.”
Suddenly he walks in with a little puppy under his arm, Daisy! She rushes over and is so excited, she mentions something about the dog having big toenails (?!).
Six months later…
Nick tells off Daisy for pooping on the carpet. Jessica doesn’t feel like picking it up.
Jess is circling ads in the paper, while Daisy watches on. She gets her a chicken snack and talks in a baby voice to Daisy. Her dogs beg for more snacks.
Later that night the dogs are grabbing at her sweater and she tells them to knock it off. Nick comes home and they talk about how the dogs are pooping in the house.
Nick: “What’s the plan? Want to see Team America?”
Jessica: “No, I heard it was awful.”
Nick: “What else was down there?”
Jessica: “Oh here I wrote it down, I’m organised, a new improved wife.”
Nick yawns loudly.
Nick: “You what?”
Jessica: “Why did you try and look it up when I wrote it down here. You’re just trying to be mean.”
Nick: “No, I’m not. I just want to see what else is playing.”
Jessica continues to hold the little list in front of him of the movies she wants to see.
Nick laughs, “I see that!” but he continues to read the paper.
Jessica: “Screw you”.
Nick: “The Notebook came out today.”
Jessica: “On DVD?”
Nick: “Oh my god, yeah!”
Jessica: “We’re buying it, that’s what we’ll watch when we get home. ”
Nick: “Oh hell yeah, I can’t wait.” Hehe. “It’ll be so much fun!”
The dogs are still pestering Jessica for food. They leave and Nick hopes the dogs won’t poop on the carpet while they’re out.
When they get home with their shopping, the dogs beg for yet more food. Jessica thinks they’re little piglets. Nick thinks the meat for them is too old. She tries giving them dried dog food but they refuse it.
Nick: “Daisy! She’s acting like she did something wrong.”
Jessica: “Did she?”
Nick: “She keeps going on the carpet.”
Jessica: “Daisy! You’re going to have to spank her even though she’s sick.”
Nick: “Why? No!” to Daisy. “No! Are you going to clean this one up or do I get to do it again?”
Jessica: “I don’t see why you act mad at me.”
Nick: “I’m not mad at you, just sick of cleaning up diahorrea off the carpet, it’s the third time today.”
Jessica: “I don’t understand what made her sick. ”
Nick: “Well I don’t understand why I gotta clean up every time.”
Jessica: “It’s ok Daisy.”
Nick: “No it’s not.”
Jessica: “No I mean she doesn’t feel good.”
Nick: “Well she can not feel good there (pointing to the tiled area), it’s two ** feet away. All right, we’re going to have to get a trainer!”
The doorbell rings: it’s the dog trainers, Susan and Christina. They bring a gift for Daisy. They go through Daisy’s routine and schedule. Nick says that the common theme with Daisy is that anything she doesn’t like, Jessica won’t make her do - such as wearing a collar, be on a leash or eat the right food. The trainers go over the food Daisy should be eating and vitamins/supplements. They ask if her teeth are brushed (no), nails trimmed (never), bathed her (never), brush her (never). Everyone cracks up. They don’t even own a brush for her! They realise they have a lot to learn. The trainer asks to see her dog food. They talk about ingredients to avoid - corn and byproducts - which happen to be the main two ingredients in their dog food! They move on to potty training - Nick says they get mad if she does it in the wrong place. Rubbing their nose in it is old school training.
They start “let’s go” training. Getting Daisy to follow them around the house. They then find a “turd” on the carpet. They get Daisy to sit there for a while in a little cage (10 minutes) with her poop! They practice the “sit” command. They realise it’s hard to get her trained.
Before the trainers go, they give them homework - lots of “down” practice. They thank them and head off. Jessica starts practicing “sit” with Daisy.
Jessica gets Daisy to do some homework training. Jessica eats chocolates while Nick says sit repetitively. Jessica has a go and doesn’t have any success either. Nick sits down to watch a game while Jessica continues to try and train Daisy… with not much success. “Sit, oh you’re already sitting. Daddy doesn’t care about homework, Momma does.”
Nick thinks they’ve accomplished a lot but Jessica thinks he didn’t accomplish anything - he’s just watching the gae. He then comes over and tackles Jess playfully.
The next day they head to the vet with Daisy - who’s rather scared. The veternary doctor has a look at Daisy. She’s healed up well after the speying two weeks ago. Nick says she’s already running and jumping. Nick and Jess think Daisy’s too big for her carry bag now. They head back out to their car and go for a drive. Nick thinks they should get her a bigger bag - but it doesn’t have to be Louis Vuitton. Jessica thinks she knows the difference between Louis Vuitton and other bags. So they head into Louis Vuitton. Nick says she’s in her element so she can take it from here.
They check out a bigger bag for her and find a matching collar and leash. Nick says she could use her old bag as a gym or tool bag. Nick says it can go in her overpriced graveyard with all her other stuff.
Nick: “It’s sad when the cheapest thing in this equation is the actual dog.”
Next time: Jessica heads off to start filming Dukes of Hazzard and Nick heads off to see his family.

I know Jessica and Nick have a dog Daisy but sometimes in the show there are 2 dogs-are both dogs theirs?
