Jessica Outraged Over Nick’s Daily News Gal Flirtation
In Touch magazine reports that after The New York Daily News challenged Nick Lachey’s denial that he tried to pick up one of their reporters at the EPSN pre-Super Bowl party in Jacksonville, Florida, wife Jessica Simpson was furious.
“That’s when Jessica called her dad, Joe,” a pal revealed. “She told her dad she thought Nick really did try to pick up a woman at the party and was lying to her when he denied it.” Joe Simpson, mindful of the bankability of the ‘Newlyweds’ marriage, cautioned Jessica to calm down. “He impressed upon her how important it was that she and Nick stay together,” a friend revealed. But a source said Jessica warned later, “If I can’t trust Nick, then I can’t be married to him.”
