Jessica to travel to Africa
Jessica Simpson is reported to be spending her third wedding anniversary apart from Nick Lachey - she’s meant to be in Nairobi, Africa, with her dad and Cacee Cobb for Operation Smile. They’ll then go on safari in Kenya… without Nick too.
A spokesperson said: “Nick will be unable to join Jessica on the trip because of work commitments in Los Angeles.”

Has everyone gone crazy? Nick treating Jess like crap?? Does anyone remember the show?? NIck treated her like a princess. Then she moved in her best friend, shops night and day, parties without her wedding ring, hangs out 24/7 with an entourage that includes her hairdresser and daddy. What do you want NIck to do?? The man can only take so much. I couldn’t even bear to watch the 3rd season. She was rude and whiny and I felt so sorry for Nick. She has completely changed and is not the girl he married anymore. If he gets zero attention at home, it makes sense that he will start looking for attention elsewhere. And the Africa trip has JOE SIMPSON writte ALL over it!

I always said Nick “was a righteous dude”….
But I think they both are losing the inner beauty they had together.
MONEY will do that… and a manipulative ‘big daddy’! ! ! !
Remember - (Newlyweds camping trip) when Nick & Drew talked about Jessica being “so spoiled” it was going to take Nick “5 years” to break her out of it… Well (my opinion) Nick has given up because he lost the battle years ago…..
BUT I believe they’ll make it inspite of all the outside distractions…. (I hope)….
I am a true fan of both…..and realistic….
I am so disappointed about Nick’s show (Nick Lachey Project) never came about, and also his new album. AND now Jessica’s album is postponed until next spring/summer….

I think that Jessica is one of the greatest singers and very down to earth and Nick as well.
If I was is there shoes, with all the media, the fame and everything…I can’t even explain how Iwould feel cuz don’t know. Just let them live their own life… So what, if there not happy beeing together or just so frustraded with it all(?).
I spoke to Nick when he was is Stockholm, Sweden and made his new album. I’m not gonna say here, but it was a club. He’s the nicest guy and I just want the best for both of them. Why don’t you?!

I just watched the first 3 seasons of Newlyweds over again. It’s a miracle that they lasted as long as they did. Jessica whines and complains alot and acts immature. Her parents seem totally in their lives every day - Jess even says so. Her dad tells her exactly what to do. Nick is a saint for putting up with her and trying to make it work.

i agree Nan. When you watch the 3 seasons back to back, you can see Jess changing before your eyes. Season 1 was the best because she was so easy to relate to. Really down to earth. But by season 3, I don’t even recognize her. Plus I like the way she dressed in season 1. Way too trendy now

Hopefully, Nick and Jessica will remember how love brought them together and that it is going to take them keeping their love strong to stay together. Hollywood can make a lot of things appear tantalizing, but in reality it’s a farce. There are many stars who are starstruck and money hungry who end up in life miserable and end up dying lonely.

They both have busy lives and it was like that for them before they got married. Just because they do different events doesn’t mean their not married anymore. Just like, if they don’t wear their wedding bands they are over. That is such nonsense because many people do not wear them, does that mean everyone is heading for divorce! The magazine people and paparazzi need to get a life. They are in love and it bothers many people that they are still much in love and together. Nick and Jessica don’t make it bother you just live your life to the fullest with eachother and forget about those rumors, just be honest with eachother and compromise and you can get through anything!

Rosina, are u married? Because I am, and I know that if my husband or I never wore our rings, our friends, family, etc would def think we had a problem. The ring is a symbol, a statement of the commitment, and by not wearing it, they are making a statement.

No I am not married yet, however I am engaged. I do not wear my ring to work everyday because it would get ruined. I am also afraid someone would rob me for it like my friend that they held a gun to her head. I understand it is symbolic and I agree with you, however you do not have to wear it all the time, especially depending on where you are going? Would you wear your ring in Africa while at the Safari. I know I wouldn’t. My parents do not wear their wedding bands everyday and they are married for 32 wonderful years, as long as their is love and trust who cares what everyone else thinks! I guess it is just a matter of opinion!

I am married, have been for 5 years, but I don’t wear my rings all the time either. I’m afraid I will scratch my baby with them, or I will end up losing them. But I don’t think it matters whether or not you wear a ring or not, it may be a symbol of your marriage, but some people out there who has a nice 3 ct diamond aint going to be faithful in a marriage and that just shows it doesn’t matter what is on your finger, it’s just who the person is that’s wearing it… or just because a couple gets married and they can’t afford a ring doesn’t mean they aint going to make it as a husband and wife.
Jessica may have had a logical explaination for why she didn’t have her wedding rings on… but personally, I don’t think it’s any of our business, but I sure wouldn’t want people to throw rumors about me up just because I went to a store and forgot to put my jewelry on, suddenly means my marriage is on the rocks.

I sure hope its soon because it’s getting old now.
I respect Nick and Jess as a couple but if they are having maritial problems that’s their business. End of discussion.
They may be in the public eye and owe their success to their fans etc.. but that doesn’t mean they HAVE to share their personal lives with us. Newlyweds did that. And thats over now.
As much as I like seeing pics of them and reading about what they are doing and everything.. I would rather let them live their lives without crazy photographers and rumours.
That’s just my opinion…
