Jim Carrey may be right. He has the wisdom that comes with age. Jessica Simspon is just starting out and is young and a little naive and inexperienced but you have to admire her dedication to the fans and the fan base she was able to grow and develop.
That reality TV show definately launched her into the stratosphere.

As fans of Jessica, Doesn’t it bother you that the only way she became famous was for acting stupid on a tv show and not thru her talent? How come she always shows so much skin now, The one thing that she said in the past is that she wasn’t gonna rely on her body to make it in the business but now thats is all she does, No one listens to her voice anymore it’s all about what she is wearing in a video, And how her marriage is doing, She has turn into a media whore, She will take the attention anyway she can get it because she knows that she cannot make it on her talent alone, She is just not as strong as all the other performers out there.

I was very sad when Jess and Nick announced their separation. I told my husband it would happen though. Jess is a completely different person now. She saved herself for marraige. On Newlyweds she watched Britneys Las Vegas concert (it was blurred on the tv but you could hear the music), and was making comments implying that Britney was a slut. She trashed Hooters girls, and said they were sluts, while Nick defended them and asked if their costume or Jess’s Maxim cover was worse. Jessica is a hypocrite. Then when she did her Boots video and Christian groups asked her to tone it down, she said they weren’t right to judge her. So it’s okay if she’s the sexy one… She isn’t domesticated whatsoever. It’s sad that Joe and Tina didn’t teach her to get her hands dirty. Nick has always had a good work-ethic, that showed on Newlyweds. And Jess never offered to help. She just laid around in the pool, and didn’t concern herself with him. She was very unsupportive. Obviously, I think it’s her fault. Nick waited for her till they got married, he stood by her when no on else wanted her. When she had scary looking costumes, and her makeup was caked on and she was a nobody in the music biz. Now she whores her body out for the world to see, and kisses and rubs on old men. Did anyone watch True Hollywood Story and see the video footage of her at a photoshoot and she wouldn’t even show an inch of her stomach? As for Joe, I think he’s a creep. At the beginning, I think he did just want his daughters talents to be used for inspiration, but money and fame can destroy people. I don’t think he was the best “Christian” role model for a youth group though. Tina used to say that they didn’t have enough money to buy Jessica all the clothes she wanted, so they would buy her an outfit and leave the tags on, she would wear it once, and they’d return it and buy something different so she never had to wear the same outfit twice. Not a crime but a bit dishonest for leaders in the church. Joe does need to butt out. Jess needs to grow up and make her own decisions. I still don’t think she understand what the “real world” is like. Her daddy has always handled her problems. Nick deserves better, but I am sad for him, b/c I think he’s been trying to make it work. I think Jess wants to be rid of him so she can re-establish herself as intelligent and independent, instead of the image she played up in Newlyweds. I wonder how she’ll feel 5 years down the road when Nick is remarried to another beauty whose intelligent and knows how to cook and has his babies and they have the perfect life that could have been Jess’s. This is kind of another J-Lo and Ben story. Now he’s living low key and he’s got a beautiful baby and seems happier than ever. And J.Lo has said it depresses her. And one day, Jess will say the same thing. Betcha anything.

I am 23 and have been married for almost 4 years. I also waited until marriage. And my husband was my fist boyfriend. I think it takes two people to make a marriage work. My mom always told me marriage is always hard in the beginning, specially when you are young. I think it’s even harder when the whole world knows your business. As a young married person I went through a break up too. Our brake up made us even stronger. We realized what was more important to us and how much we loved and needed each other. Now we have a 9 month old baby girl and we are so happy. Thanks to God. I think things happen for a reason. God has a plan for everything. I just hope it doesn’t take them too long until they realize what is important to them. I think because they are rich and famous it will take them longer to realize their importance in each others life. No matter how rich or famous you are, you will have nothing until you have God. I think Jessica might have forgotten that and hopefully through this tough time she will find her way back. My prayers are with them both. I hope that they work things out. And for those of you who have nothing good to say don’t say anything at all. They are real people with real heart and soul. It hurts them just as much as it would do to you if you were in that situation. And those of you who say “who cares� if you don’t care then why are you taking time out of your life to make a comment here?

To Mae - Those comments were definatly worth sharing. Whoever wrote them seems to have a good perspective. Also, I saw the “True Hollywood Story” and they actually added a small scene that says something like “even Tina and Joe could not help Jessica and Nick make their marriage work.” I saw the orginal THS and that scene obviously was not in there. Anyway, Jessica and Nick are both in my prayers.

Even though I am a fan of Jessica Simpson’s EARLIER music, and I enjoyed her on Newlyweds, she has really changed. I do think that she used to be just as strong as other performers but somewhere down the line she just really gotten the big head and lost track of what’s important. Take for instance, These boots are made for walking video, I heard the song on the radio before I saw the video and I’m sorry but her voice just really wasn’t that great on there, however boy oh boy when you see the video, people’s like who cares about the voice. She used to not be like that, like on her now that I’m with you video, she was fun and you listened to the words and it sounded great, and it was like the person that we grown to love on the show was that person in that video and it clicked with the true fans of her, and even though she showed more skin on her sweetest sin video the audience still clicked with her because she was with her husband and you could tell they were in love, but what she was doing in the these boots are made for walking video had absolutely nothing to do with her morales and values, she was basically doing nothing more than what Britney and Christina done, sell their body not their voice, something the old Jessica wouldn’t have done.
I too, hope that Jessica and Nick find their way back together, but even though Jessica may have been the one to file the papers, I think the feelings were mutual because Nick being the down to earth person like we saw on Newlyweds probably didn’t like this new Jessica, so as long as Jessica is doing what Jessica wants and it’s all about Jessica Jessica Jessica, Nick’s probably done had it up to his eyeballs and letting Jessica Jessica Jessica have her way.

it takes two to make a marriage work.. but without knowing all the facts, how can you honestly say that it was all jessica’s doing? obviously fame has changed both of them. jessica was quite young when she started in this business, and i guess you could say that over the years she has tried to develop an image that suits her. it’s her decision if she wants to follow the path of britney and christina… it worked for them. it doesn’t mean it’s right but she wants to be successful. there must have been so many factors that led to their breakup. there have also been stories about nick cheating on her but everyone seems to be on jessica’s case. is it because she stressed her christian values in the beginning but has strayed away from them? it happens to a lot of people… it doesn’t mean she’s a bad person for doing so. anyway, i wish both of them all the best… it’s sad that they broke up.

there has been rumors now, saying that they are getting back together.THere has been many articles that they are thinking about giving it another chance. I think they will. They love each other
