Nick and Jessica’s benefit concert
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are teaming up for a hurricane relief benefit middle of Octberin Las Vegas. Lachey says, “We’re trying to put that together right now.”
Simpson adds, “I spent a lot of times in New Orleans because I shot The Dukes of Hazzard in Baton Rouge. We made a lot of friends (there). I immediately was texting and calling and shooting out emails to make sure people were okay.

(I really like Nick but never so much his music, but after he sang the Star Spangled Banner Sept 11th with Jess I have definately changed my mind, he was REALLY good!)

can’t wait. i think its a terrific thing they are doing for the folks of hurricane katrina and for rita. huge fan of nick and jessica and can’t wait to see them in concert again. And awesome i think they are a terrific couple who obviously love each other very much. keep up the great work and just know we your fans look forward to many more movies and music cd’s to come.

If Jessica Simpson cares so much about other people, she wouldn’t have teamed up with Wal Mart to sell her new beauty product line. Jessica, you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting such an organization! If you had done any research about this corporation you’d know they are not the right fit. Not the right fit for many! They treat their employees very poorly, under pay them and don’t give them medical benefits. As a result of no medical benefits, the responsiblity to pay for their employees medical needs falls on tax payers. The Wal Family is more wealthy from not giving their employees benefits and allowing the rest of the country to take care of it for them. Do some research people! Here’s one great article about a company who does it right!

Wendy, you are just bitter because Jessica is a wonderful business woman making money and promoting her products.
I think YOU should do some research before you slander a company and go off on a person. Just go to Walmart’s site and you can see they include health benefits AND dental AND 401(K) - even if the person doesn’t contribute, AND after 1 year or 1000 hours they have profit sharing as well.

I like Jessica Simpson! I love the show Newlyweds and enjoy her music! With that being said, I was disappointed to read she was teaming up with WalMart. I respect your opinion. After all, we’re all entitled to our own! I have done plenty of research and know what kind of impact WalMart as a corporation has on taxpayers and the economy in general. I also know that your comment about medical benefits may be true, but there is much more to the story that what WalMart is willing to post on their website. I’ve read on both sides of the issue and am well informed of what WalMart is and isn’t. Which is how I’ve made my decision to not support them. It’s my own individual right, as it is yours.
