I just saw the video for the first time and wow. Was it ever a gut-wrenching feeling watching that. When the camera zooms out and you see the film crew - ouch. I felt a little to blame for what went on - we were the people watching their every move. Fascinating to see that the girl in the video wore the ring on a necklace - just like Jess did recently!! Is this a massive play or what?

I just recently saw it as well!!!!! I about burst into tears!! What I also noticed in the video “jessica” was avoiding the situation and not wanting to work on it like Jess!:(

it is a sad video. one of the most heart-renching times is when a great relationship ends. i like the theme of the video: with it being titled ‘whats left of me’ and then showing everything in the video disappering. what else does jessica want from him? he cant give her what she needs because she’s gone, and even then, he has nothing left to give because without her, there’s nothing for him.
and in response to ‘i felt alittle to blame for what went on’: i dont. why should we? it was their choice to make their life very public. tabloids i think added to the fire, but not the general public for watching what they offered.

You have a good point, Heather, we should all feel alittle blame, I know I couldn’t get enough of the the ‘dynamic duo’ for the last 3 or more years.. I have to say I have been more of a Nick fan - so this video and all the press he’s been getting is right up my alley! !
My TV recorder is working overtime this week, Nick is on at least 10 shows in 2 weeks…
His live version of “WHAT’S LEFT OF ME” this morning on Good Morning America was classic….

Actually I heard Joe pitched the idea to mtv execs without their cosent so he could get Jessica’s album a much needed publicity boost!!!!!!! So it wasn’t Nick or Jessica’s idea!!!!!!!! Is it just me or do you need their approval before you do something like that?!

I do hope Nick continues his success, it was obvious on the show that Nick helped Jessica become what talent she is, whether she and Joe wants to admit it or not. He is a very talented perfomer. About the show, I too agree with Princy. I hate it if the show did have something to do with their problems, but we, the fans, did nothing more than what Nick and Jessica did… Nick was a fan of football, so what did he do? He flipped his TV on and watched football, which is nothing more than we the fans did when they opened their home to their fans about their marriage.

Yeah, nick is very talented! Did you guys see the episode where he was helping jessica with “Sweetest Sin”? He was the one telling her what to do on the song…Cause sony wanted her to redue that song because it didn’t sound like singing? Anyway…He’s talented and it’s her loss…i know she regrets leaving him…i bet she thinks about it everyday…

I personally don’t feel sorry for watching their show. It’s Joe who decided to invite the world to watch their marriage. They all decided to exploit their matrimony for fame and money. And they agreed to do season after season, even after seeing how it was affecting their marriage. But the reason I feel alot more respect for NIck, is that even though they bacame HUGE, he never changed. However, we watched her change. In season 1, she has NO entourage. By the last season, she was glammed up every episode with a bad attitude and an entourage behind her every step of the way. Meanwhile, Nick just hung out with Drew like he always did. ….sorry for the rant but I just don’t feel any guilt at all for watching what they so willingly served up.

I don’t feel sorry for watching their show, either. The only thing I can say is that I heard Jessica say in an interview ( a while back) that they thought they were signing on for a 6 episode documentry on Newlyweds. They apparently never planned on having it go any further, but apparently they were legally bound since day one. Regardless, it was done, we all watched it, and clearly Jessica was a different person in the ending…her eyes will open sooner or later — I hope! And yes, although I am sure Nick has his faults as well, he did manage to stay very grounded. I think her family and enrourage always lingering around was a cause of many problems.

I love those two together and you are right i do feel like I am to blame. They were like a bit of hope for me ina sense. To know that even famous people can find true love and keep it forever but my hope died when they divorced. I seriously prayed that they would get back together.

jessie, why do you feel you are to blame?? They WANTED you to watch their show. The more we watched, the more rich and famous they became. I’m sure Jessica doesn’t regret you watching. All that money made her the DIVA she is today!
