120 Gigabyte Laptop Hard Drives
Both Fujitsu and Seagate are getting ready to ship 120 Gigabyte 2.5in Hard Drives. Currently the largest I can find are 100 gigabyte hard drives.
A while back at PC World they wrote how Fujitsu made the announcement first, but in the article there is not much in the way of detail about the device, other than it’s size and capacity.

At the Register they write - ‘Seagate claims the 120GB drive consumes only as much energy as a typical 4500rpm drive. The unit can stand 900G of non-operating shock or 250G of operating shock. It is also “virtually inaudible”, courtesy of Seagate’s SoftSonic fluid-dynamic bearing motors, the manufacturer said.’
They also have other specifications on the device at the Register.

Sidenote:
First off, I’d just like to thank Darren (the ProBlogger) for allowing me the great opportunity to share my views and opinions on Laptop’s and it’s technology while he goes on a much deserved vacation. Myself and I think one or two others will be trying to keep things running around here while he is gone. If you want to find out anything about me, feel free to click on my name to visit my website.
