[H]ard|OCP reviews the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 with GeForce Go 6800 Ultra and writes:

‘There really isnt much else to say other than that the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra is what you want to look for if you want the best mobile gaming experience on the planet right now. It simply offers the highest level of gameplay you can have on a notebook.

The Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2, as far as desktop replacement notebooks goes, is the best weve ever gamed with. Dell has put together a great combination of style, performance. and just pure fun for the notebook desktop replacement crowd. With the GeForce Go 6800 Ultra, you not only get features that can only be found with the Go 6800 series, but you also get performance that is top notch for gaming. That said, be prepared to drop a pretty penny on the Gen 2. One customized at Dells online store to the specifications of our test machine will cost you approximately $3054.00. A lesser Gen 2 that will give you the same gaming performance seen here can be had for around $2600.00. Any way you look at it, that is not inexpensive, but certainly this Gen 2 is a gaming monster not expected to be purchased for a budget price.’

Trusted Reviews has a review of the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 laptop and writes - ‘Dell has got everything right with the XPS Gen 2 it looks great, has blistering pace and is stacked full of features. Nice touches like the programmable lights separate the XPS from Dells more staid product lines, while the Centrino backbone means that you could use it on the move if you had to. The price may be very high, but despite that, I cant help but recommend the XPS Gen 2.’

infosync World reviews the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 and is really impressed. They give it a rating of 93% and write - ‘Although our feelings towards the aesthetics of the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 are somewhat anmbiguous, we cannot help but be impressed by its delicate balancing of raw graphics horsepower with a high-performing, battery-conserving processor. Add to this broad connectivity options, a stunning display and overall excellent video performance, and it’s easy to see why the Gen 2 has us charmed. Buyer beware, though; at the altar of performance lies portability and price, along with lap-scorching heat dissipation. Let’s just say the Inspiron XPS Gen 2 is hot in more than one way.’
