‘What is immediately surprising about the V8010 given its starting price of just £549 (excluding VAT) is that it supports all the latest technology such as DDR2, PCI Express and SATA. FS doesn’t say whether this is an officially branded Sonoma machine but, if it has all the features, who cares? The screen resolution is limited to 1024×768, but it has a 15.1in display.

It’s budget roots show a little more with the graphics, which are of the integrated variety, while wireless and Bluetooth are optional extras. Still, you do get a fair range of goodies including a 3-in-1 card memory card reader, Firewire, 4x USB2.0, modem and Ethernet, TV Out, Headphone socket and built in microphone.’
