IBM ThinkPad T43

Ibm-Thinkpad-T43Trusted Reviews has an in depth review of the IBM ThinkPad T43 notebook and write - ‘The ThinkPad T43 looks like it will carry the T-Series colours with pride. The introduction of the new Sonoma standard means that IBM has managed to throw some new features at the T43 without changing it’s superb design too much. Of course it will be the T43p that I’ll be lusting after, but it will no doubt carry a hefty price tag. Check back soon for a full review of a retail ThinkPad T43 as once they hit the street.’

CNET Reviews has a review of the IBM ThinkPad T43 and writes:

‘The latest iteration of IBM’s corporate thin-and-light, the ThinkPad T43, features the same sturdy case as that of the previous model, the ThinkPad T42–a CNET Editors’ Choice. The T43 also features some new components, including Intel’s latest-generation Centrino chipset. Unfortunately, the new parts don’t contribute any significant performance gains, and in fact, they seem to detract from the system’s battery life. As a result, we think the ThinkPad T42 remains the better buy.’

PC Mag reviews the IBM ThinkPad T43 and writes - ‘One of the T43’s high points is IBM’s acclaimed ThinkVantage suite, a set of management utilities that consistently ranks at the top. IBM also employs a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip–a built-in chip on the motherboard that protects your passwords and authenticates the user at the hardware level. The fingerprint reader is tied to the TPM chip, providing a second layer of security. Both the TPM chip and fingerprint reader require additional software that is preloaded in the system, but not installed….

The upgraded components, robust security suite, and top-of-the-line management tools make the IBM ThinkPad T43 our business notebook of choice, and the perfect business tool for any professional.’

Blaptops reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T43 and writes - ‘I really enjoy having the ThinkPad T43 in my life. I am still confused on if I should call it an IBM, as the branding on the machine says, or Lenovo, as that is who I bought it from and who will be providing support for me, but identity issues aside, the T43 makes a great anything machine. I can watch DVD’s on its combo drive, easily carry it from place to place without worrying it will fall to pieces, and it handles every work related task I throw at it with ease. I highly recommend the ThinkPad T43, and hope to continue to enjoy it for years to come. While the world is going through Intel Core Duo craziness, and MacBook Pro obsession, the ThinkPad T43 is that quiet wonder, and those that own one will not be left wanting anything else.’
