‘The new generation of X series laptops reinforces Samsung’s leadership in thin and light laptops, building on the success of the previous X Series laptops which were the first to demonstrate what could be achieved with Intel’s Centrino technology,’ said Peter Lunn, marketing manager for Samsung laptops.

‘Too many laptop vendors are using the Centrino components but not exploiting its potential to manufacture thinner and lighter laptops. Other vendors are simply buying larger ready built systems from other manufacturers to drive down price. Our ownership of the whole manufacturing process and technology leadership mean our laptops exploit Centrino technology to its full potential, enhancing it with Samsung’s own unique technology and design flair.’
