Akihabara News has the latest on the Sony Vaio VGN-TX90PS - a new small laptop from Sony measuring just 272.4×195.1×21mm and waighing only 1.25kg. It has a brighter than normal screen (up to 30%) and a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. It has card slots for MS, SD and MMC meory cards as well as a 915 GMS chipset.

The VGN TX90PS packs a Celeron 1 Ghz or Pentium M753 at 1.3 Ghz CPU and has up to a 60 Gigabyte hard drive. It also features DL DVD burner, wireless LAN and Bluetooth.

No details yet on price or availability but it looks like a Japan release only at this stage.
