For the first time in the annuity industry, investors can purchase exchange-traded funds (ETFs) within a tax- deferred variable annuity. Integrity Life Insurance Company and its New York- based sister company, National Integrity Life Insurance Company, now offer ETF fund-of funds portfolios in all of their variable annuities. Financial representatives and their clients have access to four ETF portfolios, each entirely composed of iShares(R) ETFs created by Barclays Global Investors, N.A. (BGI), one of the world’s leaders in the ETF marketplace.

ETFs have become enormously popular in recent years due to their broad diversification and low management fees. These investments are usually tied to a specific investment style or market index, with an objective to track the index’s total return.

The ETF portfolios utilized by Integrity contain specifically weighted allocations of iShares(R) Funds. Together, they form four ETF portfolios- Conservative, Moderate, Aggressive and Enhanced-in order to meet the needs of a wide range of investors.
