Merchant Account Fees
Over at Sitepoint forums RB4580 writes: ‘Just got charged a 75$ annual fee for my merchant account! This was a surprise. I thought I read all the small print, might have missed this. Anybody else have annual fees like this?’
The responses are excellent value with the highlight being a story of fees being waived:
‘I have a 15$/month gateway fee and I got my Customer Service fee that was like 14.95 waived. All together I pay 15$ a month to have my stuff. I called one night late and I guess the girl was in a good mood and waived like a bunch of fees and was like “Well all you have now is the 15$ fee”. I called a week later and this dude was looking at my account and was like “Man, I’ve never seen anything like this, but I’m won’t say anything”. I don’t know what she did but I’m doing under 1,000$ month for now and just pay 15$ per month altogether. I suppose that’s pretty good’
