2 billion expected to watch beginning of trial
About 2-billion people around the world are expected to watch the beginning of Michael Jackson’s child sex trial today.
US TV networks will broadcast live from outside the court in Santa Maria, a farming town two hours north of Los Angeles, when Jackson arrives for the start of jury selection. A spokesman for Court TV, one of more than 50 broadcasters set to cover the trial, said: “The first pictures of Michael Jackson entering the courtroom are expected to be seen by the biggest TV audience for a court case ever.”
