‘Battered Women’ Expert Testimony Barred
‘The judge in the Michael Jackson trial has rejected a prosecution bid to have an expert on battered women testify about the accuser’s mother.
The prosecution had apparently hoped to explain why the mother wasn’t more aggressive in seeking help when her family was supposedly being controlled by Jackson aides. Prosecutors said abuse by her former husband could also explain her demeanor on the witness stand.’

It’s a shame that boy’s mother was to weak-minded to protect him or do what was best for him. I can’t imagine that a couple of trips, some expensive gifts, and some attention from a celebrity were worth her son’s innocence.
