The Case Against Michael Jackson
Interesting opinion piece by brentub at The Case Against Michael Jackson:
‘The defense has rested, and the media circus formally known as The People of the State of California vs. Michael Jackson will soon be going to the jury. I, for one, will be glad to see it gone, even though it has been an interesting study in our judicial system and our culture as a nation.
While I am a firm believer in “innocent until proven guilty,” I think it’s safe to say that there’s enough guilt to go around on both sides.

SANTA MARIA, Calif.
The judge in Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial said Tuesday that the jury will be told that the allegation that Jackson gave alcohol to his accuser can be treated as a lesser offense. The change made by Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville raised the possibility that Jackson could be convicted of providing alcohol to a minor — a misdemeanor — even if he is acquitted of molestation. ”
Ut Oh! Michael is in trouble…
Now… this is gitting interesting.

It that’s all MJ gets, giving alcohol to a minor, he will be smiling, not frowning. It’s a misdemenor, not a crime. Probably a fine, no jail time.

His record will be besmerched. “The man charged with giving wine to kids.”
tsk, tsk, for shame.
If they will “get him” for anything, it will be this charge. I’d bet on it.
