LG U400 Reviews
3G has a review of the LG U400 and writes, “The U400 also supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile so you can wirelessly stream your music to a pair of compatible headphones but more importantly the bundled headphone remote contains a 3.5mm jack so you can connect your quality cans. Hook up your ‘phones and the U400 reveals itself to be a very skilful music player. Able to handle any genre of music, it serves up a full sound, brimming with bass and detail with little distortion at high volumes.”
TechDigest reviews the LG U400 and writes, “Headphones are bundled with it, and appear as standard in-ear headphones, connected into an in-line remote via a 35 mm jack. This means you can quickly discard them and insert your noise cancelling/sporty/just plain comfier headphones. It’s also got stereo Bluetooth, so if you’re a flash git, you can even stream music without the wires. But be warned, as I have previously mentioned, I have never been able to get my Plantronics headphones to connect to an LG phone.”
Trusted Reviews reviews the LG U400 and writes, “Good old fashioned music playback was of surprisingly high quality through the provided headset. The equaliser has a noticeable effect on playback through headphones, though it is less obvious through the handset’s twin speakers. Similarly 3D simulated sounds were noticeable through headset but not through the handset speakers. You can send stereo music to a Bluetooth headset if you have one.”
IT Reviews reviews the LG U400 and writes, “LG’s U400 adds a new, er, twist to the idea. If you’ve ever fancied being a DJ in a nightclub and scratching away to your heart’s content, you can get some practice in here. There is a special music playback application on board which works in conjunction with a silver wheel located on the front of the handset to let you scratch your favourite tunes. I kid you not. … LG’s headset includes a good music control system and a 3.5mm jack so you can use your own headphones. You can also send stereo to a Bluetooth headset if you have such a thing.”
Shiny Shiny has a review of the LG U400 and writes, “The LG U400 is a good MP3 player, with everything you’d want included in an MP3 player. You do get the feeling that LG concentrated so hard on the music part of the phone that everything else kind of fell by the wayside. This is particularly obvious when you try to write messages, find contacts or any of that phone type stuff - there aren’t the familiar soft keys that we’ve quickly become to depend on. I think there will be people out there who love it, and I can see why. But for me? I’ll keep to my separate phone and MP3 player for the time being.”
Absolute Gadget reviews the LG U400 and writes, “The phone really comes into its own with music. With a set of earphones (luckily you can use any headphones you like - none of thisproprietary nonsense) the phone reproduces music very well and if you don’t have an iPod, this will make a suitable substitute. You can also use the phone’s Bluetooth function to stream music to a suitably equipped pair of loudspeakers using A2DP.”
