Mobiledia reviews the LG VX8300 and talks about the phone’s music capabilities: “As one of the main features, the fully-functional MP3 player is wonderfully integrated into the design of the VX8300. Offering music controls directly on the front panel, Rewind, Play/Pause, and Forward Keys allow music listeners to conveniently skip through tracks.”

PCMag reviews the LG VX8300 and writes, “This is a V Cast Music phone that uses Verizon Wireless’s downloadable music service. You can sync it with Windows Media Player on a PC, and in fact you almost need to, because the phone doesn’t play MP3s in its default configuration—only WMA files. You can enable MP3 support with an easy hack, but my general policy is that you shouldn’t have to hack your phone: MP3 support should work out of the box, as it does on the E815.”

MobileTechReview reviews the LG VX8300 and writes, “The stereo speakers are loud and have decent sound when you play music or watch videos with sound. If you want to get better sound, purchase the Verizon’s V Cast Music Essentials Kit which includes a pair of stereo earbud headsets or plug in a nice pair of external speakers. Once you have paid and downloaded the songs, ring tones and videos, you can find them in My Tunes/Tones and My Flix. … If you do get the Music Essentials Kit you will get the software for ripping songs from the CD and a USB cable you can use to transfer songs from your PC to the phone. The LG can only play songs from the V Cast download library or CDs ripped using Windows Media Player 10. It can’t play iTune songs and V Cast music isn’t compatible with Mac OS X.”

Sci-Tech Today has a review of the LG VX8300 and writes, ” To transfer music files from a PC to the handset, you must purchase Verizon’s Music Essentials Kit, sold separately for $19.99. You will also need to purchase a memory card if your goal is to port several albums’ worth of music onto the phone. On the plus side, the LG VX8300 sports a pair of surprisingly good speakers with more than enough moxie to really rock anyone’s mobile world.”

Infosync reviews the LG VX8300 and writes about the phone’s music capabilities: “the VX8300 boasts impressive music quality for a phone, and the music player lets you purchase and download music, sync up with your PC music collection, view album art, and create playlists (although the V Cast music player still lacks a repeat mode).”
