Celebrity socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton has decided to marry into the maritime business by agreeing to tie the knot with her boyfriend of nine months, Greek shipping scion Paris Latsis.
The couple, who first met about 12 years ago as underage patrons of a nightclub in Monaco, became engaged on Sunday and broke the news to friends at a Memorial Day barbecue, Hilton’s publicist, Rob Shuter, confirmed to Reuters on Tuesday.
No date has been set but wedding plans will be forthcoming, he said.
“Today and tomorrow, they’re shopping for rings,” he said. “She doesn’t have a ring yet.”
Hilton, 24, and Latsis, 22, kindled their romance nine months ago when she crashed his birthday party at a house in Beverly Hills, Shuter said. The pair started dating and ended up buying the house together about four months later, he said.’
